This service bulletin covers modular and built-in ice makers shipped between late 2023 and mid-2025 with a specific quick-connect fitting at the inlet valve. Thermal expansion and water hammer can loosen the collar, producing slow leaks inside cabinetry.

Look for ice production dropping, ice bridging, or faint mineral trails on the toe kick. A visible drip at the valve after heavy use is a warning sign. Shut off the saddle or stop valve feeding the line before running more cycles.

What to do: Enter model and serial on the manufacturer recall portal, request the reinforced fitting kit or technician visit, and verify the line with a static pressure test after installation.

Consumer remedy

Follow the official program from CPSC or the manufacturer for refunds, repairs, or replacements.

No-cost fitting replacement and leak test; some units receive an updated valve assembly.

Important: Recall information is provided for safety purposes. Always verify directly with CPSC at cpsc.gov.
